Played for over two and a half thousand years by Kings, Emperors, Shahs and Sultans, it is hardly surprising that polo has come to be known as the game of kings. Nowhere is this glamour more apparent than in Argentina, currently the irrefutable home of the sport. Argentines dominate on the polo world stage and are unique in their truly universal enthusiasm for the game. One is just as likely to find a polo aficionado herding cattle on an estancia as watching the annual Palermo Cup in Buenos Aires. Argentina has the advantage because there polo is not a sport limited to the elites, but is enjoyed by all. Polo is practiced on the family estancias all over the country and children grow up learn to play as soon as they learn to ride. Originally popularized by farmhands, polo is as much a part the history and culture of Gaucho as our beef or wine. We recognize that within Polo there are many intrinsic values such as friendship, courtesy, and elegance, which therefore gives us great pleasure to be involved in promoting both Polo and Argentina hand in hand. Polo finds its place perfectly alongside all of our offerings, our Argentine beef; our wine sourced from the North to the South of Argentina including our own Vineyard in Mendoza. Simple products that boast quality and perfection. So we are extremely excited to be launching new lifestyle additions to our offerings, such as the unique opportunity to enjoy Gaucho with a twist on our exclusive Gaucho motor yacht whilst taking in London on the Thames. We are also delighted and proud to have launched Gaucho International Polo, the first indoor polo tournament in February 2011. This is a groundbreaking project which will showcase world class Polo in an attempt to bring a piece of Argentina to London, we have already brought the beef and the wine... So why not bring the polo?
