Teams continue to be evenly-matches at Dubai

Bin Drai and Zedan defeat Habtoor and Abu Dhabi by oen goal, respectively, on fifth round

The Gold Cup corresponding to the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series continued this Monday (March 4th) at the Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, in the UAE.

Bin Drai Polo Team and Zedan Polo Team were the day’s victors, both of them claiming vitally important wins that mean they both stand a chance of reaching the semi-finals.

Both the day’s matches ended with one-goal winning margins, keeping up with the tendency seen so far in the tournament.

In the opening match of the day, Bin Drai Polo Team’s 6-5 win meant that Habtoor Polo Team lost its undefeated status in the tournament, with both these teams now with a 2-1 record. Later on, Zedan Polo Team, with two defeats prior to this match, defeated Abu Dhabi Polo Team 10-9, with Mariano Uranga scoring the final goal with half-a-minute left of the game. Despite its defeat, Abu Dhabi Polo Team remains with a positive record of 2-1.

The sixt of the tournament’s eight qualifying rounds will go ahead This Tuesday (March 5th). The last two of these rounds correspond to this Thursday and Friday (March 7th and 8th).
