El Remanso and Sumaya, the Gold Cup's two other semi-finalists

Four teams now vying for a berth in final at Cowdray Park

The two remaining quarter-finals of the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup, one of Britain's leading polo tournaments, were played this Sunday (July 8th) at the Cowdray Park Polo Club.

El Remanso defeated Ellerston 12-8, while Sumaya remained as the only undefeated team in the tournament with a 13-11 win against Aravali.

Sixteen teams have been taking part here (handicaps of 21 or 22 goals) and the two semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday, July 12th: Cortium vs. Sumaya, and Dubai vs. El remanso.
