England and South Africa have confirmed their teams in readiness for the forthcoming Coronation Cup, due to take place on Sunday, July 22nd, a traditional event with two national teams fighting for victory which each year goes ahead at the Guards Polo Club.

The home team has claimed the trophy in the last two editions of the event, by defeating New Zealand and Brazil, and its line-up this time will be with Luke Tomlinson (7 goals' handicap), James Beim (7), Mark Tomlinson (6) and Malcolm Borwick (6). The team's trainer will be Chile's José Donoso, while James Harper (6) and Max Routledge (5) will be the reserve players.

Chris Mackenzie (5), Jean du Plessis (6), Ignatius du Plessis (8) and Stuart Erskine (7) will play for South Africa, with Tom de Bruin (6) as reserve player. The last time these nations faced each other was in the 1994 Coronation Cup, when England won the match.

That same morning there will also be a match between two teams formed by young, up-and-coming players from Great Britain.
