Salkeld loses its undefeated status in Gold Cup

Enigma (with Nero and Matías MacDonough) overwhelms rivals with 11-2 result

With an outstanding showing from the 10-goal back Juan Martin Nero, and with Matías MacDonough, Jerome Wirth and Fabio Lavinia as his team-mates, the Enigma outfit scored an overwhelming win against Salkeld on day 13 of the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup, at Cowdray Park Polo Club.

The Salkeld team, with José Donoso, James Beim and Luke Tomlinson heading its line-up, had won in its previous three outings, but was not able to face the dominance of rivals Enigma (2-2), that comfortably won the match 11-2.

Wednesday, July 4th will be an action-packed day with no less than five matches on the list: Ellerston vs. Thai Polo, Talandracas vs. Zacara, Les Lions vs. Aravali, Dubai vs. Cortium, and Richard Mille vs. La Bamba de Areco. Two more matches are scheduled for Thursday 5th, from where the eight quarter-finalists are due to emerge.
