Seven teams took part in the 6th edition of the El Rey Tournament during last weekend at the El Rey Polo Country Club, in Mexico, on the outskirts of Cancún.
On Saturday, May 19th, the Mazda foursome defeated Entertainment 6-2, prior to Hard Rock defeating Entertainment, 2-1. Scappino later celebrated victory with a 6-2 win against Now Resorts, while Nextel defeated Maxwell 7-3.
The finals had been scheduled for Sunday, but heavy rainfalls in the region led to their postponement. The title was decided on the basis of penalty shots, as it was not worth risking the players and the horses on a damp field.
Nextel emerged victorious, followed by Scappino and Hard Rock.
