Ghantoot claims victory in British Polo Day event

The British Polo Day Abu Dhabi went ahead on April 1st, with the Ghantoot Polo Team facing the British Army Polo Team at the Royal Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club. This was the second successive year in which these teams represented the event.

The British team was based in the UAE during three days, and had previously taken part in the British Polo Day at Dubai on March 30th.

The home team was able to defeat the visiting one 5-3.

After the match, dignitaries and representatives from the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates met prior to a charity auction during which more than 68,000 AED were collected for the Pakistan Recovery Fund of HRH Prince Charles.
